Cabazon Dinosaurs - Worlds Biggest Dinosaurs Riverside County, California

If you have ever watched Pee wee’s Big Adventure, or seen these in the movie The Wizard,, then you probably have wanted to go here, and to climb up to the top of the T Rex’s head. For 15 bucks without a discount or 11 bucks for senior or military discount, you get access to go up the T Rex, and some paths with tons of statues of dinosaurs and other creatures. there is a gift shop before you enter the park in a giant pink Apatosaurus, and one right when you enter the park to your left. The gift shop before you enter is fun to walk through, and you see some old pictures of when they first put these up, and some fossils. The gift shop in the park has some animatronic dinosaurs roaring, and moving their heads and tails. Both have some fun items for souvenirs. they do have some upgrades when you purchase tickets, which allows you more activities. There is a dinosaur dig, and you can get on a animatronic dinosaur I believe. There is some metal stairs to get up to the mouth to look out the T Rexs mouth. If you want some time to get some pictures up there, then you should go early when it opens. It starts to fill up fast with parents and kids, and it's kind of a tight space. People can’t go up and down the stairs at the same time when you're in the mouth, as it’s a steep spiral staircase at the head. In the Pee wee movie, it makes it look like there is more room up there, and they sit on a tongue to watch the sunset. That must have been shot in a studio, with a head they had built just for the movie, so it was not what I expected. This was on my bucket list, so I was glad to finally see it for real, after seeing it so many times in movies as a kid. I defiantly recommend to parents with kids, or movie location buffs. As a side note, there is a Native American gas station with some cheap gas close by, so a good place to fill up before heading out.
